Registration to the University (entrance requirements for freshmen )


Registration for Associate and Undergraduate Programs

Registration of students to faculties, colleges and vocational schools is made in accordance with the principles to be determined by the Council of Higher Education and the Interuniversity Board. However, the registration of those who have a just and valid excuse can also be made by their relatives. A student ID card is given to the student who is registered to the university for sure. The following conditions are required for enrollment in faculties, colleges and vocational schools:

a) To be a high school or equivalent vocational school graduate (the equivalence of diplomas obtained from foreign high schools must be approved by the Ministry of National Education),

b) As a result of the Student Selection and Placement Exam (OSYS), to be placed in any program of Erciyes University with the central placement system during that academic year,

c) To have obtained sufficient points as a result of the Student Selection and Placement Test (OSYS) and to have passed the special aptitude test conducted by the Faculty of Fine Arts and the School of Physical Education and Sports of our University,

d) According to the System of Admission of Students from Abroad, the application he/she has made to our University has been accepted and settled as a result of the evaluation,

e) Having the status of "Turkey Scholarship", having been decided by the General Assembly of Higher Education to study at our University (For Foreign Students),

f) The application for lateral transfer to higher education programs of our university has been accepted,

g) After the completion of the final registration procedures of the candidates placed in the higher education programs of our University by the OSYM, the remaining open quotas are determined and notified to the Presidency of the OSYM. Additional-Quota applications are received by OSYM. Candidates must register for the higher education programs in which they are placed according to the application results on the registration dates announced on our web page and at the Student Affairs Department with the requested documents.

Registration for Graduate Programs

a) The list of candidates who are eligible to enter the graduate program is finalized by the decision of the Institute's Board of Directors and announced by the Institute's Directorate. The Board of Directors of the Institute may announce replacement candidates for each program up to the most announced quota. Candidates who have earned the right to register make their final registration by submitting the documents requested by the Institute's Board of Directors to the Institute by the end of the registration date. Instead of those who have not registered during the registration period, candidates on the announced reserve list can apply for final registration to open quotas.

b) The original and substitute candidate lists, the final registration calendar and the documents required for registration are determined by the Institute's Board of Directors. Registration is not made with the missing document. Candidates who do not make their final registration within the specified period lose their right to final registration.

c) The registration of students whose candidate registration or final registration is made according to unrealistic information and documents is deleted.

Re-registration

Registration renewal procedures are carried out every year between the dates specified in the Academic Calendar, which is decided by the Senate of our University. Course registration is done through OBISIS, and students who don’t register for courses between the specified dates cannot attend classes, cannot take exams, and cannot benefit from their student rights. These periods are taken into account when calculating the maximum study period.
