ADDITIONAL PLACEMENT 3
(INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION TO ASSOCIATE DEGREE AND UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-2026)
A- GENERAL PRINCIPLES:
Applicants must first:
1. Be in the final year of a secondary education institution equivalent to Turkish high schools, or have graduated,
2. Have obtained a score equal to or above the minimum required from one of the examination types listed below.
B- CANDIDATES ELIGIBLE TO
APPLY:
Applications will be accepted from:
1. Foreign nationals (those enrolled in secondary education [high school] in Türkiye before the 2022–2023 academic year, on the condition that these are embassy schools, internationally recognized private institutions listed in MOBIS operations, or institutions under special projects conducted by the Ministry of National Education).
2. Those who acquired Turkish citizenship by birth but obtainaed permission from the Ministry of Interior to renounce Turkish citizenship, and their underage children registered in the Certificate of Renunciation of Turkish Citizenship, as well as those who hold the Document on the Exercise of Rcognized Rights under the Turkish Citizenship Law.
3. Individuals who were foreign nationals but later acquired Turkish citizenship, and dual nationals in this situation (as long as those receiving secondary education [high school] in Türkiye were enrolled before the 2022–2023 academic year).
4. Turkish citizens who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) abroad, excluding the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), including those who completed their entire secondary education abroad in Turkish schools officially recognized by the Ministry of National Education.
5. TRNC citizens residing in the TRNC who have completed their secondary education (high school) in the TRNC and obtained GCE AL exam results administered under the TRNC education system, as well as those who enrolled in colleges and high schools in other regions between 2005 and 2010, and have obtained or will obtain GCE AL exam results.
C- ACCEPTED SCORE TYPES FOR APPLICATION
1. Applicants must meet the minimum scores and conditions for one of the following:
a) TR-YÖS Exam (Türkiye International Student Exam) conducted by ÖSYM (Assessment, Selection and Placement Center of Türkiye)
b) GCE A-Level Exam (General Certificate of Education – Advanced Level Certificate) (Applications will be accepted only with the exam score obtained in the TRNC)
c) High school graduation examinations or high school diploma grades
2. In the evaluation of applications, applicants' scores will be converted to the TR-YÖS score scale (calculated out of a total of 500 points). The resulting score will be used for placement purposes. The commission may apply a weighting coefficient to the applicants' scores when calculating the placement scores, if deemed necessary.
3. For programs admitting students through special talent examinations, a “Special Talent Examination” will be held separately. Applicants who succeed will earn the right to register.
D-MINIMUM SCORES REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION:
1. Faculty of Medicine – Medicine Program: Minimum TR-YÖS score 400. Applications based on high school diploma grade or high school graduation examination score will not be accepted. For Blue Card holders or dual nationals (one nationality being Turkish), quotas are full and no applications will be accepted.
2. Faculty of Dentistry – Dentistry Program: Minimum TR-YÖS score 350. Applications based on high school diploma grade or high school graduation examination score will not be accepted. For Blue Card holders or dual nationals (one nationality being Turkish) quotas are full.
3. Faculty of Pharmacy – Pharmacy Program: Minimum score 300. For Blue Card holders or dual nationals (one nationality being Turkish), quotas are full and no applications will be accepted.
4. Faculty of Law and Faculty of Engineering – Programs: Minimum TR-YÖS score 200, or at least 70 out of 100 in the high school diploma grade or high school graduation exam. For the Faculty of Law, quotas for Blue Card holders or dual nationals (one nationality being Turkish) are full, and no applications will be accepted.
5. Other Faculties/Schools: Minimum score TR-YÖS 200, or at least 60 out of 100 for applications based on high school diploma grade or high school graduation exam score.
6. Faculty of Education, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling: For Blue Card holders or dual nationals (one nationality being Turkish), quotas are full and no applications will be accepted.
E- REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION:
1. Original exam result document and notarized or consular-certified Turkish translation (For TR-YÖS applicants, TR-YÖS result document).
2. High School Diploma or temporary graduation certificate (original and notarized or consular-certified Turkish translation). For final-year students: student certificate and notarized or consular-certified Turkish translation.
3. Transcript showing courses and grades taken in high school, approved by the school principal, and notarized or consular-certified Turkish translation.
4. Photocopy of passport or identity card.
5. Bank receipt showing payment of the evaluation and placement fee (Applicant’s identification information must be in the payment description. Application fees are non-refundable for rejected applications).
6. Passport-size photograph.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
-Since applications will be made on line; documents must not be sent by post, fax, or e-mail.
EVALUATION AND PLACEMENT FEE:
The application fee is Three Thousand Turkish Lira (3,000.00 TL). The receipt date must be between October 31 and November 06, 2025. The fee must be deposited into the account specified below:

The bank receipt must include the candidate's identification information in the description section. Application fees will not be refunded for candidates whose applications are rejected or who are not accepted into the university.

Important Notice: -Those who qualify for pre-registration as a result
of the placement process must pre-register at obisis.erciyes.edu.tr before the registration deadline and pay 25%
of the school fee for the 2025-2026 academic year. 75% of the tuition fee must
be paid within the final registration period.
-If those who have pre-registered and paid 25% of the deposit fee decide
not to register, the deposited fee will not be refunded. (Refunds will only be
given if the visa is not obtained and this is documented.)
-Those who have earned the right to register but do not pre-register and pay 25% of the payment fee will lose their registration rights.
F- EVALUATION OF APPLICATIONS
1. Applications will be evaluated by the University’s Evaluation and Placement Commission.
2. For Blue Card holders or dual nationals (one nationality being Turkish), quotas are limited to 10% of the total quota in Teaching, Law, Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy programs. (Quotas for Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Law, and Faculty of Education’s Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department are full.)
3. The Commission has the authority to determine and apply quota ratios for different countries.
4. High school graduation exam results and diploma grades will be converted to TR-YÖS points (on a 500-point scale). Example: a diploma grade of 70 will be evaluated as 350 points.
5. Only TR-YÖS scores will be accepted for applications to Medicine and Dentistry programs; applications based on diploma grades or high school graduation exam results will not be accepted for these programs.
6. TR-YÖS exam results are valid for two years.
7. For applications based on high school graduation exam results and diploma grades, the highest score will be taken into account.
8. In the placement process, priority will not be given between the TR-YÖS score - secondary education (high school) graduation exam score - diploma grade score.
9. Accepted candidates will be issued an Acceptance Letter by the University. This letter is required to obtain a Student Visa from the relevant Turkish Embassy or Consulate before entering Türkiye and registering.
10. The evaluation of applications and the placement of candidates are within the authority of the Commission. There is no obligation to fill all quotas; placement will be made for candidates who meet the requirements.
11. Applications of candidates who do not meet the application conditions will not be taken into consideration.
12.Candidates found not to meet the application requirements will have their registration cancelled, even if the registration has already been completed.
13. Applicants found to have submitted falsified documents will be reported to the Office of the Public Prosecutor.
