2020-2021 Academic Year Fall Semester Distance Education Process

Dear Teaching Staff and Students,

In the Fall Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year, our university's associate degree, undergraduate and graduate daytime and evening education programs has started online as of October 5, 2020 through virtual platform/ live classes. How to participate in online courses on which platforms; in uze.erciyes.edu.tr, which has been prepared as a support site for our distance education processes, the relevant help documents and videos have been explained in detail for our students and lecturers. The login user information required to connect to the courses on the relevant platforms has also been defined for each course in the "obisis" (student information system - obisis.erciyes.edu.tr) module for our students and in the "instructor" module for our lecturers. When our students and lecturers enter the "obisis" and "instructor" modules, they can now access these information and referral links to access the courses.

The first week of the distance education process, which  started on October 5th,  also included the orientation process for both our students and faculty members. With the development of our students 'and lecturers' experiences on online systems, a more effective and healthy distance education system with all its components has been established now and will be better in the future. Recently, our asynchronous course material sharing module (erudm) has  also been activated to support synchronous (online) lessons. In this way, the repetition of the lessons, which are taught live synchronously, can be created as video documents, etc. Such materials can be shared with our students by our instructors via this asynchronous module.

We wish the new academic year to be beneficial, healthy and successful for all our university students, academic and administrative staff.
